What a day!  My girlfriend and I and our kids went over to the Manhattan Beach Library to see a hula show.  We ended up by the water fountain, with the kids ready to dip their hands into the water.  We left after all of them were soaked head to toe, even climbing into the fountain for a dip!

My beautiful friend had her second baby, super easy and quick delivery.  Baby Iyla is gorgeous, calm and so easy.  Her sweet big sister just wanted to kiss Iyla all over her face.  And, she wanted to be my assistant.  What a gorgeous family!

Natural History Museum . Los Angeles family photographer

We visited the Butterfly Exhibit at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles last week.  There were beautiful butterflies of all colors!  The exhibit is fascinating for kids, and goes through the beginning of September.

I got the opportunity to photograph this family again out at the beach, right under the Manhattan Beach Pier ~ one of my favorite places to shoot.  It was a beautiful day, and everyone had a great time.  It was fun, relaxed and absolutely an enjoyable time for all!  

Summer Sounds

Today we went to the Hollywood Bowl to see the Summer Sounds concert ~ we saw a group called Dafra Drum that performs and dances from the traditions of West Africa... lots of drumming and clapping!  The other part of the Summer Sounds is their outdoor art studio where they offer 6 different art projects that go along with the concert theme.  My girls chose to make the Jingle Stick, which consisted of plastic containers attached to sticks filled with pebbles, and decorated with buttons, stickers, pipe cleaners, jingle bells and ribbons.  Fun day!
